Birthday Surprise

We had a small birthday celebration with Nate's grandparents this evening. Nate received $100 from relatives this past Christmas. His dad told him that if he saved his money and added anything that he may earn or get for his birthday that we would make up the difference and get a Wii. Well his daddy has a soft spot and decided to buy the Wii without Nate's help. Nate was expecting gifts of money to go toward the Wii, which he got from both grandparents, so when he opened the box with the Wii inside he was flabbergasted! I have never seen him as surprised and speechless as he was when he opened that box. Hubby said Nate's sheer amazement, that practically had him in tears, was worth it all! When we were eating the birthday dinner at O'Charley's, Nate's restaurant of choice, he told the waitress that this was his best birthday ever! Nate is already planning on how to spend his money, but his dad says he should invest it in a good growth stock mutual fund! After all, that's what Dave would do, wouldn't he?!
